Camps & Workshops

Kids in Focus partners with local youth development nonprofits across the Valley to bring our resilience building photography programs to their youth. The curriculum is customized to meet their needs. Workshops range from 2-3 hours to full-day and from 1 to 4 sessions. They can be held on Saturdays, after school, or during the school day. Camp curriculum is also tailored to meet the needs of the particular camp program. At the end of the program, each participant takes home a print of their favorite photo that they took that day!

Our signature True North program offers foster children and Grads in Focus youth the opportunity to explore and photograph outside of the Phoenix Metro area, discovering environments they have likely never seen. This is a full-day program where the bus becomes the classroom as we set out to experience the natural wonders of areas such as Tonto Natural Bridge, Lynx Lake in Prescott, or the red rocks of Sedona. At the end of the day these kids go home with a print of their favorite photo that captures their vision of the day’s adventures. Continued participation in our programs creates a real connection fostering curiosity, exploration, and new ways to consider looking at the world.

You can always learn something new! Be open to learning from others and sharing your work!
